Walt Disney World Annual Pass and Florida Resident Recent Changes

Yes, we all are sad when Disney raises prices and so be prepared to be sad. They have changed (increased) the Annual Passes and Florida Residents are the main victims of the latest price hikes but there was also a parking fee increase from $17 to $20 to park at any WDW theme park. Once you have paid once though in a day you do not have to pay again to change parks or for in and out privileges.

For the annual passholders here are the prices and inclusions for the new tiered program:

Deluxe Platinum Pass – Cost $829.00 for all guests ages 3 and up. You receive one-year of admission to all four WDW theme parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom) and you will also be able to park hop on any given day. You will receive free theme park pricing (so no price hike for you!) and admission to the two water parks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon) and also ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course. You also receive special promotions/discounts at Disney Resort hotels when available and discounts on dining, merchandise, recreation and tours. Also you receive the ability to download Disney PhotoPass photos and videos as part of the annual pass at no additional fee.

For all you Tables In Wonderland fans out there you need to read up too. This dining program has also increased in price across the board by $50. The card is now $150 for Annual Passholders and DVC Members and $175 for Florida residents. I love Tables in Wonderland and will just have to visit more to make it work at the new prices!

So how sad or upset are you? Is this going to change any future plans you have?

  1. I think Disney is going to have to be a “less often” thing for me now as I probably won’t be getting another annual pass once this one is done. I’ve only been an AP holder for about 3 years but it was $500-something when I started so the change since then is a lot, and my income definitely has not increased in parallel to that!

    • I am hearing a lot of the less often thing which makes me sad. Not that Disney does not have bright minds and I am sure does the research with this but I would think the money AP holders spend visiting more frequently would be more than the one time increase. Also, when I have an AP I plan more trips to justify the cost. Sigh I am hoping it is a long time coming for any additional increases.
